Gather up all those outgrown clothes, toys and equipment your children no longer need and bring them out to the Mothers and More Clothing Resale.
The clothing resale is held twice a year at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd in Wheaton. The resale takes place in March and in September, and generates money for our chapter and Mother’s Scholarship, and to subsidize events throughout the year, such as the Christmas party, various gatherings and playgroups.
The resale set-up takes place Thursday night and all day Friday. Volunteers may shop the sale early on Friday night. The public sale is Saturday 7:30am - 12pm and the Half Price Sale starts at 1pm - 2:30pm. Clean up ends at 6pm on Saturday. Sellers keep 70% of their sales.
This would be a great way to get a jump on your cleaning and make a little pocket cash.
Even if you have nothing to sell you can still be involved by volunteering to help at the resale. Inside your Local Page, you’ll find both the Volunteer and Seller Registration forms. As chapter members you get a two-week head start on becoming both a seller and/or a volunteer before the public. Start watching in January and July.
When was the last time you got out of the house without the husband or kids, had a relaxing chat with other moms while doing volunteer work and felt a real sense of camaraderie and accomplishment when you were finished?
For more information, call our clothing sale hotline at (630) 415-0421 and volunteer today.
