Monthly Meetings
Come join the fun! We meet on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Our meetings are dedicated to enjoying some "grown-up time" for Moms only. Past outings have included pottery painting, socializing in a cafe, game night, fondue party, movie night and an ice cream social. All members are encouraged to attend our annual social events which include a Holiday Party, Mother's Day Party, Picnic, Mother's Weekend Out and Halloween Party. The Holiday Party gives our members the chance to meet in a nice restaurant and relax to a delicious meal along with our "white elephant" grab bag event. Our Mother's Day Party gives us the chance to celebrate and honor each other as Mothers. We usually get together at a member's house or a nice dinner out plus theatre show. These two celebrations are designed to provide the pampering that we deserve. Our summer picnics give everyone the chance to come on out and enjoy the good weather along with our entire families. The Halloween Party is a great way to let our little ones dress up and partake of the

PlayGroups
Our chapter has several thriving playgroups available with one near you. Playgroups meet at member's homes or local parks which offers a comfortable setting for the children to play with each other while allowing the Moms to get to know one another better. These are arranged by our Playgroup Coordinator.
We also have a playgroup for New Moms that have children 18 months or younger; older siblings are welcome to attend as well. These playgroup sessions rotate between members' homes and are a wonderful opportunity to share ideas and concerns with other Moms who are going through the same intense phase of Mothering. Also, our New Moms rave about our care committee which provides meals to members after delivering their babies.
Finally, we have an open playgroup in which all members are invited to attend one or two outings per month. Our open playgroup is our vehicle to seeing what
This group just started in fall 2008 and recent outings have included lunch at a member’s home, coffee at a local coffee shop, a stroll through the gardens at
Seasoned Moms
We recently started a playgroup for moms only (non-mobile infants may come as well)! Seasoned Moms meets twice monthly during the school day. We welcome all moms no matter what the ages of their children, so you can come whether your children are at college, elementary school, preschool, a play date or with a babysitter! Because we know everyone’s schedule is different, we try to vary days of the week and alternate between morning and early afternoon outings.
E-Loops
Want to get in on what's happening in our chapter? Chapter Members can join the DuPage Chapter Email Loop. The loop is a great way to stay connected to fellow chapter members electronically. Lots of the monthly events and activities are highlighted on the DuPage Chapter Email Loop. You can find advice on what stroller to buy or what park to play at or how to handle an unreasonable two-year-old are great topics for our discussion loop. The discussion loop is our forum for discussing chapter issues and happenings plus fielding mommy-type questions. Note: solicitations, politicking, chain letters, spam, etc. are not allowed on either of our loops. Additionally, we have another loop, the DuPage Chapter Email Loop which is an 'information only' email loop. Every chapter member with an email address will be on the chapter information list to receive chapter news (meeting changes/cancellations, etc.) in a timely manner. Additionally, our organization nationally has many diverse online email discussion groups which provide support and information.
Local Page
Members wanting more information can check out our own newsletter called the Local Page which is mailed monthly to all current members and details upcoming activities & events. All members also receive a subscription to the National Mothers & More bimonthly publication called the Forum. Members will find the latest details on our activities nationwide as well as article's which are enlightening, empathetic and practical in the support of mothering.
